The Paramount Network’s flagship series, “Yellowstone,” is gearing up for its return with the highly anticipated second half of Season 5. The network has dropped a teaser trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come when the show resumes on November 10, 2024.
The teaser opens with Kevin Costner’s John Dutton narrating, “Legacy. You build something worth having. Someone’s gonna try to take it.” The brief but intense footage showcases Cole Hauser’s Rip and Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton in dramatic moments, including Beth wielding a knife. The video also features scenes of FBI agents conducting a raid, large groups of horseback riders, and various tense exchanges.
Season 5’s first half aired from November 2022 to January 2023, and the final six episodes of the season will wrap up the story starting this November. Ahead of the new episodes, Paramount Network will run a marathon of “Yellowstone” episodes this weekend, starting on Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
As the series prepares for its return, news has emerged that Kevin Costner will not be continuing with the show. The actor, who is also focusing on his directorial project “Horizon,” confirmed his departure in June. This followed reports of a legal dispute over his exit and compensation related to his contract.
In anticipation of the show’s future, Paramount has announced a spinoff series titled “The Madison,” featuring Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Elle Chapman, and Beau Garrett. Additionally, there is speculation about a potential Season 6 focusing on Rip and Beth’s story.
Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, expressed confidence in the “Yellowstone” universe’s continued success, highlighting the series’ role in launching other hits like “1883” and “Tulsa King.”
