Check Out The Munich: The Edge of War Official Trailer

Creation on the new film, helmed by Christian Schwochow (The Crown), started in October of 2020 across Germany and England. Ben Power wrote the script, based on the war novel Munich by Robert Harris. Upon its debut at the BFI London Film Festival in October, the film accumulated commonly positive reviews from critics who praised the performances of the chief cast. However initially planned for release in 2021, Munich: The Edge of War will now make its introduction on January 21.

Another trailer showcases Netflix’s forthcoming British spy film, Munich: The Edge of War. The film follows two previous friends at the 1938 Munich Conference. Now working for opposing governments, the two become entangled in a race for knowledge to expose a Nazi secret. Starring George MacKay (1917) and Jannis Niewöhner (Mute) as the once friends Hugh Legat and Paul von Hartmann, they are joined by Jeremy Irons as Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, Ulrich Matthes as Adolf Hitler, Liv Lisa Fries as Lenya, Jessica Brown Findlay as Pamela Legat, and Sandra Huller as Helen Winter.

In the trailer published by Netflix, viewers are first acquainted with the friendship previously shared by Legat and Hartmann. Dissolving from the more joyful times to a more disheartening period, when Europe stands at the slope of World War II, Legat is gone up against with the task of using his once-companion to secure knowledge for the British government. After a tense get-together, Hartmann, a German representative, rapidly becomes weaved with the British mission, risking his life to acquire a crucial archive from under the nose of Hitler himself.
