In an emotional announcement during her final Munich residency show, Adele revealed she is planning an extended hiatus from performing after completing her Las Vegas residency. The singer, known for her powerful ballads and captivating live shows, told fans, “I will not see you for an incredibly long time.”
Adele, whose Las Vegas residency began in November 2022 and has included over 100 shows, described her recent tour as the longest she’s ever done and likely the longest she will ever do. “I have really enjoyed performing for three years,” she said, reflecting on her extensive touring. “But after this, I just need a rest.”
The singer, who recently confirmed her engagement to boyfriend Rich Paul and has been battling sciatica, cited the need to focus on her personal life and creative projects outside of music. “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now,” she shared with the crowd.
Adele also hinted that there are no immediate plans for new music, saying she wants to explore other creative endeavors during her break. With the trend of increasing time between her album releases, fans may face a significant wait before Adele returns with her fifth album.
