Amidst the growing dispute between America and China (US-China), the US has taken a big decision to tease the dragon. US President Joe Biden has approved a $100 million missile supply deal to Taiwan. The aim of this missile agreement is to strengthen the missile defense system of Taiwan in view of increasing pressure from China.

Missile Supply Agreement approved

President Joe Biden’s administration has approved a $100 million missile deal between Taiwan. The aim of this missile agreement is to strengthen the missile defense system of Taiwan in view of increasing pressure from China.

Taiwan expresses gratitude to America

The US State Department issued a statement on Monday informing about the approval of this missile agreement. The US said that this agreement will further strengthen Taiwan’s existing air-defense missile system. The agreement is to help deploy advanced American missiles that Taiwan is getting from the US. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry has thanked the US for approving this agreement.

China reacted strongly to the agreement

On the other hand, China has reacted strongly to this missile supply agreement. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Tuesday, “US arms sales to Taiwan seriously harm China’s sovereignty and security interests.”

Let us tell you that the Winter Olympic Games are being organized in Beijing, the capital of China. As a result, the feeling of nationalism in China is at its peak. It is feared that after the conclusion of the Games, China’s stance on Taiwan will become more tough.

Threatening to use force on Taiwan

China considers Taiwan as its part and does not rule out the possibility of using force to bring it under its jurisdiction. In the last few months, Chinese fighter jets flew over Taiwan’s airspace.
