Tottenham and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement in principle for Harry Kane. The clubs have been in talks for a number of weeks over the protracted transfer of Kane to Munich, with a deal worth close to £100million now agreed.

Kane now has a decision to make over whether he wants to move to Germany amid a growing feeling that the England skipper was leaning towards staying with Spurs. According to News revealed last month that chairman Daniel Levy was seeking around £120m for Kane – despite him only having a year left on his deal.

Kane wanted his future decided before Spurs begin their campaign away at Brentford on Sunday. He only has a year remaining on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and still could leave on a free next summer.

Kane scored four times in Tottenham’s 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday, having played a full part in their pre-season preparations. Spurs fans serenaded the forward with chants of ‘we want you to stay’ as Postecoglou’s side turned in an impressive performance ahead of the new season.
