New piece of Superman fan art imagines Michael B. Jordan as Val-Zod. Following DC and Warner Bros.’ abandonment of the Snyder-Verse, the eventual fate of Kal-El is undetermined. Fans have sat tight for a solo development to Man of Steel since 2013 and, presently, it appears Henry Cavill has hung up his red cape (for the time being). There has been a lot of discuss a J.J. Abrams-created reboot of Superman starring an actor of shading and composed by Ta-Nehisi Coates. This prompted the fan casting of Jordan as Superman.

Artist Spdrmnkyxxiii as of late posted some art to Instagram envisioning Jordan as Val-Zod in HBO Max’s impending restricted series. This new piece sees Jordan sporting a Superman suit alongside a picture of him doing his best Clark Kent impression. Look at it below:

Made by Taylor, Nicola Scott, and Robson Rocha, Val-Zod made his comics debut in 2014. He is the second person to accept the responsibility of Superman in DC’s New 52 period, wearing a mostly-blue suit with a white S. Val-Zod is a Kryptonian from Earth-2 who escaped his home planet with Kal-El and Kara Zor-El, his supportive family. Val-Zod is eventually taken in by pacifists and remains covered up until the Earth-2’s version of the Justice League, the Wonders, seek help to stop what they believe is a brainwashed Superman—which is really a clone of Superman made by Darkseid named Brutaal.

To explain, Jordan’s restricted series has presumably nothing to do with Abrams’ Superman reboot. All things considered, with both projects occurring and Sasha Calle making her 2022 debut as Supergirl in The Flash, WB seems resolved to continue on from Cavill. While sharing some similarities with the philosophy and beginning of Kal-El, Val-Zod has a great deal of potential for a remarkable live-action variation. It’ll be interesting to see if Jordan decides to play Val-Zod. As one of the busiest stars in Hollywood, his hesitation probably has to perform with directorial responsibilities on Creed III, in addition to other things. Notwithstanding, presently that a Val-Zod series has been declared with Jordan connected, it’s almost impossible to picture someone else in the job.
