New York City officials told the United Nations that “to enter the UN for the purpose to be part of General Assembly Hall.” Each one needs to show their proof of vaccination to get entry into the United General Hall.

The Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told Reuters in an interview: The Secretariat, cannot ask the head of state to ask not to enter for General Hall if not vaccinated. The UN officials have pledged guidance when it came to the pandemic.

New York City officials have mentioned that the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant was one of the major concerns where new cases record could be seen.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, last month urged the world leaders to send their videos video statements instead of travelling to New York, as it might lead to a deadly condition where the nation cannot afford it.
