Kesha has officially entered a new chapter in her career with the launch of Kesha Records, marking her transition to independence. This new venture, in partnership with ADA for global distribution, will see her releasing a highly anticipated album in 2025.
This partnership represents a significant milestone for Kesha, who previously worked under RCA and Kemosabe Records. It’s the first time she will have ownership and creative control over her music. ADA, in collaboration with Crush Music, will manage all marketing and promotional efforts for the upcoming album.
“I am proud to announce this partnership for the distribution of my music through Kesha Records,” Kesha stated. “My name has become synonymous with transparency, integrity, and safety, and I want to ensure that these values are upheld for myself and any future artists signed to my label. Music has the power to connect the world, and I aspire for my work to be a beacon of light and goodness. I am excited to take control of my narrative and rewrite my story in the music business.”
In July, Kesha released “Joyride,” her first single as an independent artist, marking the beginning of this new journey. Following her departure from Kemosabe and Vector Management in December, Kesha concluded a lengthy legal battle with former producer Dr. Luke, allowing her to reclaim her voice and autonomy.
Her last full-length album, “Gag Order,” was released in 2023 as part of her prior deal. This March, she expressed her newfound freedom, tweeting, “First day I’ve owned my voice in 19 years. Welcome.” Recently, she teased a new song titled “Delusional” on TikTok.
