Vanessa Hudgens reportedly gave birth to her first child with husband Cole Tucker on July 4, making it a historic occasion for her.
As Hudgens was seen leaving a Santa Monica hospital on July 3, TMZ reported, the news of the baby’s arrival spread. Pictures showed the actress with Tucker by her side as she held her newborn in her arms while confined to a wheelchair. The couple, who announced their engagement in December 2022, recently got married and have not revealed the baby’s name or gender.
This year, Hudgens—who is most known for her parts in High School Musical and, more recently, The Princess Switch—came clean about her pregnancy while co-hosting ABC’s Countdown to the Oscars. They were married in early 2024, and this announcement was made only a few months later.
Despite Hudgens’s prior denials during a bachelorette trip to Aspen, Colorado, fans have been speculating about her pregnancy since October 2023. Tucker, a former baseball player for the Colorado Rockies, and she met through a Zoom meditation session led by Joe Jonas in 2020, and their relationship blossomed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hudgens stated that she wanted to become a mother and that this would change her life’s plans in a September 2022 interview with Nylon. “I always believed that I would want to have children when I was 36 or 37, and that belief still holds true today. It does not make me feel anxious,” she said.

During the A Family Affair film premiere, Zac Efron, who dated Hudgens on the Disney Channel, gave a positive speech about her upcoming motherhood. “They are going to be the best moms ever,” he said in reference to Hudgens and co-star Ashley Tisdale, who at the time was expecting her second child.
