Chrissy Teigen recently made a bold statement by revealing her surgery scars during a rare date night with husband John Legend. On August 13, the 38-year-old model and author shared a glimpse of her surgical history on Instagram Stories while donning a plunging black dress and a shimmering gold body chain.

In a candid clip, Teigen remarked, “Date night, very rare but it happens … boobies out, scars out,” as she showcased her outfit. John Legend, 45, who accompanied Teigen in a matching all-black ensemble, affectionately walked up behind her and playfully added, “Oh yeah, baby,” while she presented her look to the camera. Teigen also highlighted her body chain, saying it “kind of” conceals her scars.
Teigen has been open about her surgical history, having undergone three breast augmentation surgeries. During a January appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she initially joked about the surgeries being a “lie” before confirming the truth. “I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out,” she explained with humor. Teigen clarified her past procedures, which included augmentations and removals, and noted, “I don’t like them out.”
In a March 2020 interview with Glamour U.K., Teigen discussed how her initial plastic surgery at age 20 was motivated by her modeling career. She aimed for a more youthful appearance for swimsuit photos but later faced complications with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Teigen admitted that the changes from childbirth led her to reconsider her implants. “When you have kids, you think about [the risks] of surgery, and I think, ‘This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery,’” she said.
Ultimately, Teigen decided to have her implants removed, prioritizing her health and well-being over aesthetic changes.
