Netflix has officially greenlit a second season of its acclaimed anthology series Beef, and it’s bringing a powerhouse cast along for the ride! Oscar Isaac (Scenes From A Marriage), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Charles Melton (May December), and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) are all set to star in the upcoming installment.
In Season 2, viewers will follow a young couple who unwittingly become embroiled in a high-stakes showdown between their boss and his wife. Their lives spiral into a web of favors and coercion within the opulent yet cutthroat environment of a country club owned by a Korean billionaire. The first season of Beef, featuring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, premiered in 2023 and quickly garnered critical acclaim, winning eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, and numerous other accolades. The story, inspired by creator Lee Sung Jin’s personal experiences with road rage, captivated audiences with its unique blend of humor and drama.
The upcoming season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, with Lee Sung Jin returning as creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Yeun, Wong, and Jake Schreier will also serve as executive producers, with A24 producing the series.
