Paramount+ has unveiled a thrilling preview for the upcoming third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds at New York Comic Con, alongside the exciting announcement of Rhys Darby as a guest star.

Set in the years before Captain James T. Kirk takes the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise, the series follows Captain Christopher Pike (played by Anson Mount) and his dynamic crew, including Science Officer Spock (played by Ethan Peck) and Number One (played by Rebecca Romijn). Together, they embark on interstellar adventures, exploring new worlds and facing unexpected challenges.

The newly released three-minute clip showcases the crew’s bravery as they navigate fierce enemy encounters, demonstrating their skill in outmaneuvering and outpacing adversaries. While no official release date is confirmed, fans can expect the new season to premiere in 2025, and it has already been renewed for a fourth season.

Along with the teaser, it was revealed that Cillian O’Sullivan will join the cast as a recurring guest star, stepping into the legacy role of Dr. Roger Korby. Details about Rhys Darby’s character remain under wraps, adding an air of mystery and excitement for fans.
