Fans of Apple TV+’s “Slow Horses” can celebrate as the hit spy series has officially been renewed for a sixth season! Based on Mick Herron’s acclaimed novels, the show features the brilliant but messy Jackson Lamb, played by the legendary Gary Oldman. Lamb leads a team of MI5 misfits—lovingly dubbed the “slow horses”—including River Cartwright (Jack Lowden), Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung), Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar), and Catherine Standish (Saskia Reeves).

Joining this star-studded cast are Kristin Scott Thomas as MI5 deputy boss Diana Taverner and Jonathan Pryce, along with Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, and Samuel West. Previous seasons have also seen memorable appearances from talents like Hugo Weaving and Olivia Cooke.

The recently concluded Season 4 left viewers on the edge of their seats, as Cartwright uncovered shocking personal revelations while escaping from a rogue CIA officer, portrayed by Weaving. As the Slough House team faced dire circumstances, the stakes have never been higher.

Looking ahead, Season 6 promises another six episodes filled with action and dark humor as the unconventional spies find themselves tangled in a high-stakes game of retaliation, all thanks to their frenemy Taverner. Gaby Chiappe, a co-executive producer, will adapt the new season, with Adam Randall returning as director.

“Audiences worldwide have fallen in love with the Slow Horses, and I’m thrilled that Gary Oldman will lead this star-studded cast on another acerbic and action-packed adventure,” said Jay Hunt, creative director for Apple TV+ in Europe.

Produced by See-Saw Films, the show continues to impress, boasting executive producers including Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and even Oldman himself. Get ready for more espionage, witty banter, and unexpected twists as “Slow Horses” heads into its sixth season!
