Exciting news for streaming enthusiasts in Southeast Asia! Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that its highly anticipated streaming service, Max, will launch in seven territories starting November 19. Viewers in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong can soon access an expansive library of content.
Max aims to provide a diverse range of subscription plans, with full pricing details expected in the coming weeks, tailored to each country’s market. Notably, mobile-only plans will be available in Indonesia and the Philippines, along with select providers in other regions.
Currently, WBD operates the HBO Go service in parts of East Asia, but Max promises a more advanced platform and a richer content selection. The service has already made waves in North America and various international markets, offering users a unique streaming experience filled with blockbuster movies, innovative series, classic hits, engaging documentaries, and family-friendly favorites.
With Max, subscribers can create up to five personalized profiles, making it easy to curate content based on viewing habits. The platform includes features for kids, complete with age-appropriate content and parental controls. Expect to find beloved brands like HBO, Cartoon Network, Max Originals, Discovery, TLC, Food Network, and iconic franchises such as “Harry Potter” and the DC Universe.
