The cast of Outlander has officially concluded filming after an impressive eight-season run, spanning 11 years and 101 episodes. Stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe led the heartfelt farewell to the beloved Starz romantic drama, encapsulating their experiences in an emotional announcement.

“What a journey,” Heughan shared on Instagram, reflecting on the incredible memories and friendships forged throughout the series. His post included a collection of candid behind-the-scenes moments, featuring everything from fake blood to playful antics with a cat. He expressed gratitude towards the show’s creator Diana Gabaldon, his co-star Balfe, the cast, crew, and the passionate fanbase, adding, “Dinnae fash Sassenachs, plenty more to look forward to….”

In a joint post alongside Balfe and the production team, Outlander‘s social media account shared a series of images capturing cast and crew members celebrating the milestone with clapperboards declaring “It’s a wrap!” The caption expressed deep gratitude for everyone involved, highlighting the show’s sense of family and the exciting journey still ahead.

Filming wrapped just two months before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 7 Part 2 on November 22. The upcoming episodes will see Claire (Balfe), Jamie (Heughan), and Young Ian (John Bell) returning to Scotland, facing challenges amid the backdrop of the Revolutionary War as they navigate their loyalties to both family and homeland.
