Directors Sophia Banks and Damiano Tucci have officially launched Getaway Entertainment, a new production company dedicated to exceptional storytelling across various mediums. The company is already making waves with an impressive slate of projects, including Blood On Snow, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and featuring Tom Hardy and Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Oh Canada, helmed by Paul Schrader with stars Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, Jacob Elordi, and Michael Imperioli; Hand Of Dante, directed by Julian Schnabel and starring Gal Gadot, Oscar Isaac, Gerard Butler, Jason Momoa, and Al Pacino; and The Luckiest Man In America, featuring Paul Walter Hauser, Walton Goggins, Maisie Williams, David Strathairn, and Johnny Knoxville.

Sophia Banks has an impressive background, having directed over 200 commercials for major brands like Airbnb, BMW, and Nestle. She was recognized by Baz Luhrmann and Vogue as a rising director. Her sci-fi short film Unregistered, which starred Dylan Penn and Trevor Jackson, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and garnered attention at festivals worldwide. Banks made her feature directorial debut with Black Site, produced by Thunder Road and starring Michelle Monaghan and Jason Clarke. She is also set to direct a sci-fi film with Scott Free Productions and the thriller Dain Conspiracy produced by Bill Mechanic, Rick Nicita, and Tucci.
Damiano Tucci brings extensive experience to the table, having executive produced films like Rob Reiner’s LBJ, starring Woody Harrelson, and produced works such as The Last Word with Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried. His portfolio also includes The Year of Spectacular Men starring Zoey Deutch and HURRICANE HEIST.
