Keith David has officially signed with Verve for representation, further solidifying his place in the entertainment industry.
Recently, David joined the cast of the 20th Century film Mike, Nick, Nick & Alice, where he will portray the villain opposite Vince Vaughn, James Marsden, Eiza Gonzalez, and Jimmy Tatro.
With a career spanning over four decades, David boasts an impressive filmography that includes iconic films such as Platoon and Crash, both Academy Award winners for Best Picture, as well as Requiem for a Dream, There’s Something About Mary, They Live, Nope, and the recent American Fiction, for which he received his first SAG Award nomination.
On the television front, David just wrapped filming FX’s The Sensitive Kind, where he stars alongside Ethan Hawke. He is also set to appear in the upcoming HBO Max series Duster, produced by J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan, and in the limited series The Gray House, produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.
David’s distinct voice has garnered him widespread acclaim, including three Emmy Awards for narrating Ken Burns’ documentaries Jackie Robinson, The War, and Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson. His voice acting credits feature beloved roles in Rick & Morty, Gargoyles, BoJack Horseman, Adventure Time, and Spawn.
Additionally, David has showcased his talents on stage, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his performance in Jelly’s Last Jam and impressing audiences in August Wilson’s Seven Guitars.
In addition to Verve, David continues to be represented by Tiffany Asakawa at DVFI Meyer & Downs, The J Squared Group, and Buchwald for voice acting.
