Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell is seeking medical treatment following an onstage altercation with guitarist Dave Navarro during the band’s concert in Boston on September 13. His wife, Etty Lau Farrell, shared this news via Instagram, expressing gratitude for the support they’ve received.

Etty described Perry as the “gentlest of souls” and acknowledged the shock of his physical outburst, stating that he must have been pushed to his limits. She apologized on behalf of the couple, mentioning their need for time to reflect and heal. Perry has already scheduled appointments with an otolaryngologist and a neurologist, as he had been experiencing tinnitus and a sore throat leading up to the show.

During the Boston concert, Farrell’s behavior escalated, prompting crew members to restrain him after he threw a punch at Navarro. In the aftermath, he expressed remorse to his bandmates and fans for his “inexcusable behavior,” taking full responsibility for his actions.

Perry’s statement reflected on the difficulty of the weekend and emphasized his commitment to accountability. The incident has led to the cancellation of the second half of the band’s reunion tour.
