BTS members RM and Jung Kook are gearing up for the release of their own feature-length documentaries, set to debut within the next month.

“RM: Right People, Wrong Place,” directed by Lee Seok-joon and distributed by CJ 4DPLEX, will have its premiere at the Busan International Film Festival this October. The documentary offers an in-depth look at the creation of RM’s second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” which launched in May. According to CJ 4DPLEX, the film provides a profound exploration of RM’s journey as BTS’s leader, a solo artist, and an individual, combining evocative cinematography that echoes the artistic style of his music video. Lee Seok-joon, known for his work on BTS J-Hope’s solo album “Jack in the Box,” directs this artistic endeavor.

The film is set to be screened outdoors at the festival, running from October 2 to 11, in large venues to accommodate the expected crowds. This will mark the first K-pop documentary to be featured in such a setting at the Busan International Film Festival. Seo Kye-won, GM of HYBE Media Studio, emphasized the significance of this milestone in the film’s production.

Meanwhile, Hybe Corp. will also release “Jung Kook: I Am Still,” a documentary capturing Jung Kook’s eight-month journey following his historic solo debut with “Seven (feat. Latto)” in July 2023. Trafalgar Releasing will distribute the film starting September 18, with screenings in 120 countries. To enhance the viewing experience, audiences will be able to access exclusive digital content via QR codes presented at the end of the film, with new video clips being released each week.

Jung Kook has made a notable impact as a solo artist, with his singles “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and “Standing Next to You” achieving top 10 status on the Billboard HOT 100. His album, “Golden,” enjoyed a 24-week run on the Billboard 200. “Jung Kook: I Am Still” will be the tenth BTS feature film produced by Hybe, reflecting the ongoing popularity of BTS-related content. Earlier this year, Rakuten Viki announced a lineup of nine BTS films and variety shows, while Disney+ previously featured five BTS films. In May, Korean joint venture company wA secured a deal with Hybe for BTS and Seventeen shows on its U.S.-based streamer KOCOWA+.
