In a recent interview with podcast host Lex Fridman, former President Donald Trump addressed the controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and his infamous private island. Trump denied having any personal connection to Epstein’s island but described Epstein as a “good salesman” and a “hardy type of guy.”
Trump noted that although many powerful people visited Epstein’s island, he himself was “fortunate” not to be among them. The former President suggested that Epstein’s wealth, assets, and private islands were used to attract influential figures.
During the interview, Trump expressed openness to releasing more files related to Epstein if he is re-elected. He criticized the secrecy surrounding Epstein’s connections and expressed interest in making such information public.
Trump also drew a comparison between the Epstein case and historical events like the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He suggested that while the Kennedy assassination involved dangers to certain people, the Epstein case has its own unique complexities.
Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019, was a convicted sex offender with allegations of running a sex trafficking operation involving minor girls. Recent court documents have highlighted Epstein’s connections to prominent figures, including Trump, Prince Andrew, and former President Clinton, although they did not provide new revelations.
Trump’s comments on Epstein come as public interest continues to swirl around the sex offender’s network and the potential for further disclosures.
