Jo Bo Ah, the acclaimed actress known for her roles in Tale of the Nine Tailed and Destined With You, is set to marry her non-celebrity boyfriend in October, according to a recent JTBC report. The wedding is planned to take place at the Walker Hill Hotel, with details about her fiancé remaining private.
Jo Bo Ah, who has also starred in Goodbye to Goodbye, My Strange Hero, Forest, and Military Prosecutor Doberman, had previously expressed her desire to marry in her 30s and lead a more traditional family life. As of now, her agency, XYG Studio, has not commented on the report.
Jo Bo Ah began her acting career in 2011 with a role in the JTBC sitcom I Live in Cheongdam-dong and has since made a name for herself in both television dramas and hosting. Her breakout role came in tvN’s Shut Up Flower Boy Band, and she also appeared in the MBC drama The King’s Doctor.
Looking ahead, Jo Bo Ah is set to feature in the upcoming K-Drama Knock-Off, starring alongside Kim Soo Hyun. The series follows Kim Sung Joon, played by Kim Soo Hyun, as he transitions from an ordinary man losing his job during the IMF crisis to becoming a global leader in the counterfeit goods market. Jo Bo Ah will portray Song Hye Jung, Kim Sung Joon’s ex-girlfriend and a special judicial police officer focused on combating counterfeit goods. Her role will involve a high-stakes confrontation with Kim Sung Joon as they navigate the counterfeit world.
