Roberto Orci, known for his work on the Star Trek and Transformers franchises, faces serious allegations in a lawsuit filed on Monday. His wife, Adele Heather Taylor, an actress from The Blacklist and Hail, Caesar!, claims Orci repeatedly abused and sexually assaulted her.
In her lawsuit, Taylor accuses Orci of being bipolar and an alcoholic, which she alleges led to violent outbursts. She describes instances of physical abuse, including being dragged and beaten, and reports Orci making derogatory comments and threats. In May 2022, she alleges Orci pinned her to the ground in their garden and threatened to rape her, followed by a sexual assault in the garden the next month where Orci allegedly told her, “You enjoy being raped.”
Taylor also alleges that Orci called the police on her in April 2020 after she tried to defend herself, leading to her arrest for domestic abuse. Orci reportedly bailed her out.
The lawsuit details an incident in December 2022 where Taylor recorded Orci threatening violence and boasting about his ability to evade consequences. Following this, Orci filed for a restraining order and divorce. Orci’s lawyer, Daniel Paluch, has denied the allegations, stating that Orci is eager to resolve the matter in court.
In response, Orci has filed his own lawsuit against Taylor, accusing her of assaulting him with a Taser and pepper spray. Orci acknowledges his struggle with alcoholism but claims Taylor manipulated him financially and failed to honor a family trust agreement, which she disputes.
