Sheeran shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that Hemsworth had learned to play drums specifically for the concert. “Got [Chris Hemsworth] to learn to play drums for my stadium show,” Sheeran wrote. Hemsworth performed the drum part for Sheeran’s hit song “Thinking Out Loud” during the show.
According to Sheeran, the collaboration came about after Hemsworth reached out to him last December. The actor, who is working on a documentary about cognitive health, wanted to explore the benefits of learning an instrument. “Chris emailed me last December saying he’s doing a documentary on cognitive health and the benefits of learning an instrument,” Sheeran explained in an Instagram video. “He came to visit me, learned drums, and performed in front of 70,000 people.”
Hemsworth expressed his excitement about the experience, saying, “I’ve been thinking about it a lot. It’ll be nice to put this to bed.”
Season 2 of “Limitless With Chris Hemsworth” will delve into various global issues, including pain, fear, cognitive impairment, and social connection. The show will feature Hemsworth traveling the world to explore scientific advancements and secrets to a better life.
Sheeran’s +–=÷× Tour (The Mathematics Tour) continues with shows in Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Brazil in 2024, with additional international dates planned for the following year.
