Fans are abuzz with speculation about a potential collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, with rumors suggesting the release of a new song titled “Die With a Smile.” Both Gaga, 38, and Mars, 38, have remained tight-lipped about the speculation, fueling excitement with subtle social media hints and cryptic interactions.
On August 13, Gaga’s reaction to a video montage shared by Mars on Instagram caught fans’ attention. The “When I Was Your Man” singer posted clips from his time in Mexico, and Gaga commented with several black heart emojis and a laughing emoji. The seemingly innocuous comment quickly ignited a flurry of responses from fans eager to know more about the rumored collaboration.
Gaga further fueled the rumors with an Instagram video of herself playing piano while wearing a Bruno Mars T-shirt. Fans were quick to speculate that the T-shirt was a deliberate tease, with comments such as “I SEE YOU BRUNO Omg can’t wait” and “She made sure we saw the shirt.” MTV also joined in, commenting on the post, “WHAT A TEASE.”
In June, Bruno Mars hinted at the possibility of working with Gaga during an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He expressed a desire to collaborate, mentioning, “I’d love to do [a song] with her,” and noted that their residency schedules almost aligned in Las Vegas.
This potential collaboration isn’t the first time Gaga has been linked with major artists. Earlier this year, fans speculated about a possible continuation of her 2009 “Telephone” music video with Beyoncé. After Beyoncé’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter featured a single with lyrics reminiscent of Gaga’s “Poker Face,” rumors about a new joint project between the two surfaced. However, neither Beyoncé nor Gaga has confirmed any plans to revive their iconic collaboration.
As the speculation continues, fans eagerly await official confirmation about the Gaga-Mars project, hoping that their musical dreams will come to fruition.
