The Brown family’s intricate dynamics are about to be put under the microscope once again as TLC unveils the trailer for the new season of Sister Wives. Set to premiere on Sunday, September 15, the trailer teases a season filled with emotional upheavals and significant changes.
In the latest season, Meri Brown openly announces that her marriage to Kody Brown has ended, while Christine Brown introduces her new partner, David Woolley, to the family. Meanwhile, Janelle Brown grapples with parting ways with the shared property she holds with Kody, and Robyn Brown adjusts to the reality of life without her sister wives.
Kody Brown is shown struggling with these transformations, expressing his confusion and frustration, questioning, “What did I do to deserve this? What did I do wrong?”
Communication between Kody and his ex-wives remains tense. Janelle is having difficulty discussing the sale of their shared land and even hints at legal action if Kody continues to ignore her. Meri is also confronted with the challenges of articulating her reasons for their separation, as Kody admits he never loved her from the beginning of their nearly thirty-year relationship.
Robyn is the sole wife still with Kody, and the couple is navigating their new life as a monogamous pair. Robyn voices her feelings of abandonment, saying, “I feel like the idiot who got left behind.”
Despite Kody’s comparison of their situation to a “total civil war,” the family comes together for a celebration where Christine introduces David to everyone. Meri, inspired by Christine’s new chapter, declares her intent to find a new partner.
A poignant moment in the new season will address the tragic loss of Kody and Janelle’s son, Garrison, who passed away at 25. The family will come together to mourn his death by suicide.
Tune in to TLC on Sunday, September 15 at 10 p.m. ET for the premiere of the new season of Sister Wives.
