Hwang In Yeop, celebrated for his roles in K-dramas such as “True Beauty” and “Sound of Magic,” is set to make a special cameo in the highly anticipated dark romance K-drama “Dear X.” This series, adapted from a popular webtoon, features Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae in leading roles.
In “Dear X,” Hwang In Yeop will play Heo In Kang, a successful idol-turned-actor who, despite his public success, struggles with burnout and insecurity. His character’s transformation begins after meeting Kim Yoo Jung’s character, Baek Ah Jin, a celebrated actress with a hidden ruthless side.
The drama, which marks Producing Director (PD) Lee Eung Bok’s TVING debut, explores Baek Ah Jin’s rise to fame and subsequent downfall, alongside the complex romance of Yoon Joon Seo, portrayed by Kim Young Dae. The cast also includes Kim Do Hoon and Lee Yul Eum.
In addition to his role in “Dear X,” Hwang In Yeop will star in the upcoming drama “Family by Choice.” This romantic series follows three friends who reunite after a decade apart, with Hwang In Yeop playing Kim San Ha, a character who has it all but returns to his childhood companions after years apart.
