Star Wars fans, get ready for a new adventure in a galaxy far, far away with the trailer for LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy. Set to premiere on September 13, this animated miniseries promises a delightful mix of LEGO humor and Star Wars charm.
The show introduces Sig Greebling, an ordinary nerf-herder voiced by Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things. In a twist of fate, Sig accidentally disrupts the Star Wars galaxy, triggering a chaotic multiversal event. To set things right, he must team up with an array of unlikely heroes.
The trailer showcases a unique blend of characters and scenarios, including Luke Skywalker, voiced by Mark Hamill, navigating a new and bizarre galaxy filled with Ewok bounty hunters, Mon Calamari/Admiral Ackbar clone troopers, and a “dark” Millennium Falcon piloted by none other than Darth Jar Jar, brought to life by Ahmed Best.
The cast also features Tony Revolori as Dev Greebling, Bobby Moynihan as Jedi Bob, Marsai Martin as Yesi Scala, and Michael Cusack as Servo. Iconic Star Wars actors Anthony Daniels and Ahmed Best return, with additional appearances from Kelly Marie Tran, Billy Dee Williams, and Dee Bradley Baker in undisclosed roles.
The series will explore a galaxy where familiar roles are turned on their heads—good guys become villains, and bad guys become heroes. The storyline centers on Sig’s quest to restore order after discovering a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple.
James Waugh, one of the show’s creators, highlights the blend of LEGO and Star Wars elements, promising a celebration of both worlds. The show will feature imaginative creations like Imperial X-fighters and Rebel TIE-wings, bringing fan theories such as Darth Jar Jar and Darth Rey to life in this playful narrative.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy is set to deliver a fresh and entertaining perspective on the Star Wars universe, with its premiere just around the corner on Disney+.
