Amazon India has announced a significant collaboration with over 45 government emporiums, NGOs, and trade bodies across India to support and promote local artisans. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional artisans and modern consumers, providing new economic opportunities for marginalized weaving communities.

Through this partnership, Amazon will feature over 150,000 products representing diverse crafts from 25 states across India. The e-commerce giant will also highlight selections from more than 35 state emporiums, including renowned names like Biswa Bangla, Panthoibi, Garvi Gurjari, and House of Himalayas.

In total, over 2,500 master weavers, cooperatives, artisans, and government organizations from various ministries—such as Textiles, Cottage Industries, and Tribal Welfare—are now onboarded on Amazon.in to sell their products online.

Additionally, Amazon’s annual Amazon Karigar program is set to play a key role in reviving traditional arts and crafts, offering local sellers a broader platform to reach consumers and showcase their merchandise.
