Green Bay has secured one of its defensive anchors for the foreseeable future, as the Packers and nose tackle Kenny Clark have agreed to a lucrative three-year, $64 million contract extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday, citing sources.
Confirming the extension, which marks Clark’s second with the team following his initial signing in 2020, the Packers solidify their commitment to the standout defensive lineman. Clark, who recently earned his third Pro Bowl nod in five NFL seasons, showcased his prowess in 2023 with a career-best 7.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits across 17 games.
Known for his reliability, Clark has been a cornerstone of Green Bay’s defense during recent playoff runs, starting nearly every game since his breakout Pro Bowl season in 2019. As he prepares for the upcoming season, Clark will benefit from the guidance of new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who joined the team this offseason.
