Nickie Sault, renowned for her work as a producer on The Outlaws, is stepping into a new chapter of her career with the launch of her production company Class 5. Based in Sheffield, UK, Class 5 aims to create powerful and meaningful films and TV series with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusivity.
Sault has already lined up her first major project under the new banner—Rare Singles, a feature film based on the novel by acclaimed author Ben Myers. In association with Warner Music Entertainment, the film will follow the journey of a middle-aged woman from Scarborough, who unexpectedly invites her soul-singing idol, Bucky Bronco, to visit after making contact with him. What follows is an exploration of hope, nostalgia, and personal transformation.
Rare Singles – A Heartfelt and Unlikely Journey
The story centers on Bucky Bronco, a down-on-his-luck musician from Chicago, still reeling from the loss of his wife. Struggling to make ends meet, he receives an unexpected invitation from a fan in Scarborough—a place he’s never heard of, for an audience he never imagined he’d play for. With nothing left to lose, Bucky accepts the offer, leading him on a journey that could change everything. The film promises a blend of music, melancholy, and unexpected connections.
