Dave Bautista made a bold fashion statement at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Friday, September 6, as he walked the red carpet for the premiere of his latest film, The Last Showgirl. Known for his iconic role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bautista embraced a tailored, glamorous look that perfectly suited his role as a Vegas show producer in the highly anticipated film.

For the occasion, Bautista donned a striking Gucci GG Cotton Viscose Formal Suit in black. The suit, which he previously wore on “Watch What Happens Live” in July, is distinguished by its subtle sheen and allover Gucci logo pattern. Bautista completed the ensemble with a dark gray boat-neck shirt and glossy black dress shoes, enhancing the sophisticated appeal of his look.

Bautista’s attention to detail was evident in his choice of accessories. He layered four strands of pearls around his neck, interspersed with diamond accents for a touch of shimmer. His wrist accessories included a silver watch and a gold diamond-encrusted bracelet from Jason of Beverly Hills, which he paired with a matching silver bracelet for a chic layered effect.

The actor’s affinity for Gucci was also highlighted by his past appearances. He recently wore a cream-colored Gucci jacket for the premiere of Dune: Part Two and sported a burgundy Gucci Horsebit wool silk jacquard jacket on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

At the premiere, Bautista was joined by his co-stars, who all embraced the film’s showgirl theme with their fashion choices. Pamela Anderson, who stars in the film, deconstructed classic Rat Pack glamour in a black suit with modern feminine details and pointed-toe heels. Kiernan Shipka, portraying one of Anderson’s proteges, wore a dramatic black halterneck dress with a crocheted bodice and open back from the Elie Saab Resort 2025 collection. Brenda Song complemented the theme with a floor-length dress featuring laser cutouts and crystal embellishments that added a touch of sparkle.

Jamie Lee Curtis also made a notable appearance, adding a splash of Vegas-inspired red with her sheer, long-sleeved blouse paired with a black pencil skirt.

Directed by Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl tells the story of a veteran Las Vegas showgirl whose life is turned upside down when her show closes unexpectedly after 30 years. The film promises a captivating exploration of change and resilience in the glamorous world of Las Vegas entertainment.
