Park Hyung Sik and Heo Joon Ho are officially confirmed to star in the upcoming K-drama “Treasure Island,” set to premiere in 2025 on SBS. The new thriller, penned by Lee Myung Hee (known for “Money Flower”) and directed by Jin Chang Gyu (of “Military Prosecutor Doberman”), promises a gripping narrative centered around a stolen political slush fund worth 2 trillion won (approximately 1.5 billion USD). The plot unfolds as a hacker is killed before realizing the full extent of the theft, resulting in the complete loss of the funds.

While Dong Joo outwardly appears loyal to the company, he harbors ambitious plans to take over the entire organization. Heo Joon Ho will play Professor Yum Jang Sun, a former head of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Yum Jang Sun is a powerful figure who manipulates influential people from the shadows and orchestrates societal events with strategic finesse.
Park Hyung Sik, a well-known South Korean actor, initially gained fame as a K-pop idol with ZEbefore transitioning to acting. His notable roles include “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” “Doctor Slump,” “Happiness,” “High Society,” and “Our Blooming Youth.”
