143 Entertainment has officially announced the debut date of its highly anticipated new girl group, MADEIN. The seven-member ensemble, including former Kep1er stars Mashiro and Yeseo, is set to make their grand entrance into the K-pop scene on September 3, 2024.
MADEIN’s debut will be marked by the release of their first EP, “상승” (Ascension), featuring the title track “Uno”, which translates to “one” in Spanish. This song is expected to symbolize the group’s fresh start and their journey towards establishing their unique identity in the competitive K-pop industry.
The lineup for MADEIN includes several familiar faces from previous K-pop groups. In addition to Mashiro and Yeseo, who are re-debuting after their tenure with Kep1er, the group features MiU and Suhye from LIMELIGHT, and Gaeun, also from LIMELIGHT. The remaining two members, Serina and Nagomi, were contestants on “Produce 101 Japan The Girls”, with Nagomi taking the role of the youngest member, or “maknae.”
143 Entertainment has been actively building anticipation for MADEIN, unveiling individual profile pictures of each member over the past two weeks. The group’s name, MADEIN, stands for “We Made in You,” reflecting the bond between the group and their fans.
Digital Masta, a renowned producer known for his work with artists like 4Minute and Lee Gikwang, is collaborating with MADEIN on their music, further raising expectations for their debut.
The members of MADEIN come with substantial experience in the K-pop industry, which promises a strong start for the group. With the potential to shape the future of the 5th generation of K-pop, fans are eagerly awaiting the group’s debut and their forthcoming musical offerings.
MADEIN’s debut is expected to be a significant event in the K-pop calendar, and the excitement surrounding their new journey continues to grow.
