Megan Thee Stallion has released the highly anticipated music video for her hit single “Mamushi,” despite facing technical difficulties. The video, which accompanies her chart-topping track featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, has already created a buzz on social media.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Tokyo, the music video presents Megan as a fearsome Mamushi, a venomous Japanese viper. The storyline follows her as she takes down gangsters in a Japanese spa and later assembles an army of their undead bodies, who then march towards the Engaku-ji Temple.
Directed by Kevin “Onda” Leyva, the video also stars actor Shô Kasamatsu and draws inspiration from Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film Dreams. Fans can also spot Megan performing her signature viral dance routine in the video.
