English singer FKA twigs was spotted catching a few rays of California sunshine when she surfaced in Los Angeles. The 34-year-old had slipped into a boho chic ensemble including a loose-fitted pair of cargo jeans with acid wash patches.

Insiders claimed they were arguing over twigs’ case against their their mutual ex Shia LaBeouf, whom twigs accused of abuse in a lawsuit she filed in December 2020. Margaret, whose mother is Groundhog Day actress Andie MacDowell, was dating Shia at the time that twigs sued him.

Hinting at her enviably trim midriff in a colorful crop top, she could be seen heading down the sidewalk with a shopping bag slung from one arm. Her latest sighting comes less than two weeks after Page Six reported she had a verbal clash with actress Margaret Qualley at the Bel-Air Hotel.

However Margaret and Shia broke up shortly after the lawsuit was filed, and Margaret has since been publicly supportive of twigs. When twigs elaborated on her allegations in an explosive Elle interview, Margaret wrote: ‘Thank you,’ to her on social media.

However Page Six alleged that Margaret has been reluctant to accede to twigs’ efforts to get her to appear as a witness in the lawsuit. Sources claimed that Margaret and twigs happened upon each other in the lobby of the Bel-Air Hotel, setting off a furious verbal confrontation over the lawsuit, which is scheduled to go to trial next April.

‘It was important to me for her to know that I believe her – and it’s as simple as that,’ Margaret later declared to Harper’s Bazaar. Twigs and Margaret were reportedly privately in touch after the Elle piece sent shockwaves around the Internet.

Although it was evidently unclear to onlookers whether Margaret or twigs started the argument, both women are said to have been ‘shaken’ afterwards. Twigs hit the headlines in December 2020 when she filed suit against Shia, whom she had broken up with the previous year.

She accused him in the suit of assault, sexual battery and infliction of emotional distress, as well as of knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease.

He added: ‘I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.’ Twigs claimed Shia kept a loaded gun in the bedroom, leaving her fearful of getting up at night in case he shot her thinking she was a home invader.

Shia publicly responded to the suit by denying her specific allegations but confessing his alcoholism to the New York Times and admitting he had been ‘abusive to myself and everyone around me for years.’

She also accused him of shooting stray dogs as an acting exercise in order to ‘get into character’ for his flop film The Tax Collector.  ‘”I said to him: “That’s really bad. Why are you doing that?”‘ she said in an interview with Elle expanding on her allegations.

‘And he was like: “Because I take my art seriously. You’re not supporting me in my art. This is what I do. It’s different from singing. I don’t just get up on a stage and do a few moves. I’m in the character.”‘

Twigs shared: ‘He made me feel bad, like I didn’t understand what it was like to be an actor or to do this…Method.’ Shia welcomed a baby in April with Mia Goth, whom he has had a tempestuous on-off romance with since they starred in the explicit movie Nymphomaniac in 2012.

After one explosive argument he had with Mia in Germany in 2015, he was caught on film saying: ‘If I’d have stayed there, I would have killed her.’This May Shia successfully finished a yearlong judicial diversion program in which he was court-ordered to give up drinking and attend weekly therapy sessions.

In exchange for his completion of the program, a judge dropped his misdemeanor battery and petty theft charges, arising from an alleged altercation in 2020.
