Lauren Goodger put on a brave face on Wednesday to give daughter Larose the perfect first birthday at their home. The special day comes just two weeks after the tragic death of Lauren and partner Charles Drury’s newborn daughter Lorena two days after she was born.
Lauren recently explained to her followers that her second daughter Lorena had passed away despite her going through pregnancy and labour without complications. She shared a heartfelt image of herself holding Lorena’s hand as she said the little one was ‘in her heart the whole time’ as she prepared for Larose’s birthday.
Lauren, 35, made sure Larose was made to feel like a princess despite her own grief, decorating her home with giant balloon bouquets. She also spelled out her daughter’s name in rose coloured foil balloons, sharing videos of her little girl delightedly looking around the room.
Lauren wrote: ‘Just wrapped @BABYLAROSE presents and my Lorena was with me in my heart the whole time with her candle lit’. ‘Very emotional evening for Mummy, but can’t wait to see my big girl in the morning’.
Lauren panned the camera around her living room showing off the inflatables that spelt her daughter’s name as well as a large pile of gifts wrapped in pink paper. gushed: ‘Can’t wait to arrange all theses [balloon letters] in the morning [and spell] Larose’.
Lauren had announced her sad news on Instagram writing: ‘Lorena. 08.07.22. She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister… words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.
Her latest post comes after Lauren and her partner Charles, 24, thanked the public for their support following their tragic loss. On Sunday, a spokesperson for Lauren said that the couple were ‘overwhelmed and touched’ by the messages they had received.
‘There was no pregnancy or labour complications and she was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar..
‘I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day … My Lorena I love you so much.’
Lauren’s partner Charles also shared a statement paying tribute to his daughter, writing on Instagram: ‘Your little heart will forever beat inside mine.’
Charles wrote: ‘Lorena Drury 8/7/22. Our beautiful baby girl so perfect in every way, 8/7/22 will always be your day. Your little heart will forever beat inside mine, I’ll love you until the end of time.
