Kendrick has been dating the licensed esthetician turning 36 this Thursday ever since they attended Centennial High School in Compton together as teenagers. ‘I’m loyal to the soil,’ Lamar told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club back in 2015.
‘At the end of the day, you want to always, always have real people around you, period. Whether it’s male or female, and everybody that’s been around me, they’ve been around since day one.
‘I always show respect when respect has been given, and people that have been by your side, you’re supposed to honor that.’ On Sunday, the 14-time Grammy winner dropped the deepfake music video for his record’s first single, The Heart Part 5, which has amassed 17.7M views on YouTube.
Kendrick co-directed the video with his business partner Dave Free where he morphed into famous (or infamous) African-American men OJ Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, and Nipsey Hussle.
Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is the follow-up to Lamar’s critically-acclaimed fourth studio album DAMN. which was released in 2017. The Super Bowl LVI halftime show performer is next scheduled to headline the Milano Summer Festival on June 23 at Ippodromo SNAI San Siro in Milan, Italy.
