on Instagram candid post on Tuesday, the 31 year old blogger revealed she had been struggling mentally before her elimination. She added that she’mind ‘checked out’ of the reality series after fellow competitor Alex Frost quit the show citing mental health reasons. 

I searched endlessly for an idol  and whilst my tribe thought it was for me  I was never going to use it.’Sophie explained that she’d been searching for a coveted idol to give her sister, Kate Austin, immunity: ‘It was to sneak into KJ’s bag to discover after I’d gone home.’The mum-of-two also shared an emotional video of herself arriving back home after wrapping filming on the series.

The tribe has spoken: Sophie Cachia has spoken out following her elimination from Australian Survivor: Blood V Water on Monday‘I don’t know what the episode implied last night cause I didn’t watch it but 1, I had mentally checked out from the night Alex left & was already tasting avo salad in my mouth,’ she began. 

Sophie explained that she’d been searching for a coveted idol to give her sister, Kate Austin , immunity: ‘It was to sneak into KJ’s bag to discover after I’d gone home’‘That smile says it all. I went in as me, and I left as me. Now, back to business,’ she added in the caption. 

Sophie’s two young children, son Bobby, eight, and daughter Florence, five, stood excitedly awaiting her return at the airport.After spotting their mum, Bobby and Florence ran over to her, before a teary Sophie dropped to her knees and showered them with hugs and kisses.    

In an interview with 10 play on Tuesday, Sophie admitted that she would have preferred to have left after she was forced to join the Blue tribe in a Tribe Swap.‘In hindsight I would have much rather gone home, because it became really difficult once I got there  There was a lot of caution surrounding me,’ she confessed.
