Innovations Garner Five Medals, Showcasing Qatar’s Creative Talent
Qatari inventors have once again demonstrated their prowess on the international stage, securing five prestigious medals at the 14th International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME) held in Kuwait from February 4 to 7. This impressive feat underscores Qatar’s commitment to fostering innovation and creativity in various fields.
With a total of 200 inventions showcased from over 40 Arab and foreign countries, the 14th IIFME served as a platform for inventors to present their groundbreaking ideas and technologies. Among the standout achievements were the contributions of Qatari innovators, who showcased their ingenuity and expertise to the world.
Omar Al Emadi was awarded the gold medal for his innovative water quality monitoring system, highlighting Qatar’s dedication to addressing environmental challenges through technological innovation. Additionally, Dr. Saif Al Hajari’s invention earned two silver medals, while Bandar Al Mansoori and Nayef Al Ajmi’s project—a device for growing plants with solar and air energy—secured another two silver medals, showcasing Qatar’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy solutions.
Furthermore, Dr. Hitmi Al Hitmi and Hamad Al Yafei received two bronze medals for their contributions to the field of innovation, further solidifying Qatar’s reputation as a hub for creative talent and groundbreaking research.

This remarkable success builds upon the achievements of Qatari inventors in previous editions of the IIFME. In the 13th International Invention Fair, Qatari participants were honored with the Gulf Cooperation Council Patent Office (GCCPO) Award, as well as nine other medals, including a gold medal with honors, four gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals. These accolades reflect Qatar’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence.
As Qatar continues to invest in research and development, its inventors are poised to make even greater contributions to the global innovation landscape.
