Blackpink’s Lisa and Rosalía have joined forces for the energetic new single “New Woman,” released under Lisa’s LLoud Co. label in collaboration with RCA Records. The track, co-written by Swedish artist Tove Lo and produced by Max Martin and Ilya, dropped with a visually stunning music video directed by Dave Meyers.
The video kicks off with Lisa delivering rapid-fire verses about her transformative journey, celebrating her newfound strength as a “New Woman” with a “revved up aura.” The song’s tempo shifts midway, giving way to Rosalía’s emotive Spanish lyrics: “Yo vivo pa’ cantar, no canto pa’ vivir” (“I live to sing, not sing to live”).
This release follows Lisa’s previous solo single, “Rockstar,” produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee, marking her return after a three-year hiatus. Known for her role in Blackpink, Lisa has achieved significant global success with the group.
Lisa is also set to perform at the Global Citizen Festival in September alongside artists like Post Malone and Doja Cat. Additionally, she will make her acting debut in the third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus” next year, following Jennie’s appearance in HBO’s “The Idol” in June 2023.
