Russia Ukraine War: The European Union will close its airspace for Russian airlines. After this decision, no Russian aircraft will be able to pass through 27 countries of the European Union.\
In the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, all the countries of the world have been divided. Many countries have supported Ukraine, while many have expressed their friendship towards Russia. In this sequence, the European Union (EU) has taken a big decision against Russia.
27 countries decided together
The EU’s chief executive said her association of 27 countries has decided to close its airspace to Russian airlines and provide funds for arms supplies to Ukraine. Along with this, a decision is being taken to block some media outlets of the Kremlin in protest against the Russian attack on Ukraine.
EU will help Ukraine
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday, “For the first time, the European Union will provide financial assistance for the supply of weapons and other equipment to the attacking country.”
Russian planes will not get entry
“We are closing EU airspace to the Russians,” he said. We propose a ban on all Russian owned, registered in Russia or controlled aircraft. From now on these aircraft will neither be able to land or take off in the countries of the EU nor will they be able to pass over the countries of the organization.
European Union angry with Putin’s decision
He said the EU would also “ban the Kremlin’s media machine”. Russia Today, owned by the Russian government and Sputnik, as well as their subsidiaries, will no longer be able to spread lies to justify Putin’s war and sow the seeds of division in our solidarity.
