Along with the reduction in the cases of Kovid infection, many European countries have also started easing the stringent restrictions imposed for the prevention of Kovid infection.

From the end of December to the second week of January, the situation in Europe, which is battling the magnitude of the Kovid infection, has started improving. The WHO has also claimed that Kovid has led to a kind of ceasefire in Europe. WHO Europe Director Dr. Hans Kluge says that the outbreak of the Kovid epidemic in Europe is now entering a period of peace for a long time. Dr. Kluge cited other reasons behind this, including widespread vaccination, reduction of cold and Omicron being less lethal, saying that the coming times should be seen as a ‘ceasefire’ from the side of Kovid. Along with the reduction in the cases of Kovid infection, many European countries have also started easing the stringent restrictions imposed for the prevention of Kovid infection.

In the European Union, Denmark was the first to lift restrictions and eliminate the requirement of masks. After this, on Thursday Norway and Sweden announced the easing of restrictions.
