Kanye West has stated that if Billie Eilish does not apologise for making a joke at Travis Scott, he may withdraw from the Coachella festival in April.
But there’s a catch: she didn’t.
Eilish paused her performance at an event in Atlanta last week after noting one of her fans was having trouble breathing in the crowd and provided her an inhaler. To the majority of people, this appears to be a decent and kind gesture toward your fans. Ye, on the other hand, does not appear to agree. The rapper posted a screenshot of a blog post capturing the incident, claiming that Eilish was ‘dissing’ Scott. In truth, Eilish only said:

West took to Instagram to demand an apology from Eilish (yep, all capital letters):
“COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED FOR THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW
“Literally never mentioned a thing about Travis,” Eilish stated in response to Ye’s request. “I was only assisting a fan.”
During the event at Eilish’s concert, the singer’s declaration that she waits for everyone to be okay until the show starts was just a signposting of an expectation and a duty of care for musicians’ fans.
