In a thrilling Week 7 of NFL action, Russell Wilson made a spectacular return to the field, leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to a commanding 37-15 victory over the New York Jets. Wilson, fresh off a calf injury, showcased his dual-threat capability by throwing two touchdowns and rushing for another, marking a triumphant debut that fans won’t soon forget.

The Jets initially took control, establishing a 15-6 lead in the second quarter thanks to a two-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Tyler Conklin. However, the tide turned dramatically when Wilson connected with George Pickens for an 11-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to 15-13 at halftime. From that moment on, it was all Steelers. Wilson powered in a one-yard touchdown and later connected with Van Jefferson for another score. Najee Harris capped off the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run. Two of the Steelers’ touchdowns came after rookie Beanie Bishop intercepted Rodgers—an impressive performance that fueled Pittsburgh’s second-half surge.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs continued to shine as the only unbeaten team in the league, overcoming the San Francisco 49ers 28-18 in a Super Bowl rematch. Although Patrick Mahomes threw two interceptions, he also netted his first rushing touchdown in two years, while Kareem Hunt contributed with two touchdowns of his own. The 49ers, now 3-4, faced another setback with the loss of star receiver Brandon Aiyuk due to a knee injury.

In a stunning blowout, the Washington Commanders dismantled the Carolina Panthers 40-7, even with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels nursing a rib injury. Backup Marcus Mariota threw for two touchdowns, and Dante Fowler made headlines by returning an interception 67 yards for a touchdown.

The LA Rams edged out the Las Vegas Raiders 20-15, avoiding a third consecutive loss. The Rams’ defense was relentless, forcing four turnovers from backup quarterback Gardner Minshew after starter Aidan O’Connell went down early with a hand injury.

In a nail-biting finish, Jake Bates kicked a 44-yard field goal with just 15 seconds left to lift the Detroit Lions to a 31-29 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, propelling the Lions to the top of the NFC North. Despite a fumble return touchdown by Ivan Pace that looked to secure the game for the Vikings, Jared Goff led a game-winning drive that set up Bates for the decisive kick.

The Seattle Seahawks rolled past the Atlanta Falcons 34-14, with Geno Smith throwing for 207 yards and two touchdowns. However, DK Metcalf’s 99 yards receiving came at a cost as he exited the game with a knee injury in the fourth quarter.

Amari Cooper made an immediate impact in his Buffalo Bills debut, scoring a 12-yard touchdown in a 34-10 rout of the Tennessee Titans, who struggled to find the end zone in the second half.

On the injury front, the Cleveland Browns faced a significant setback as quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an Achilles injury, leading to a 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. After Watson went down, Dorian Thompson-Robinson took over, only to exit with a finger injury later in the game. Third-string quarterback Jameis Winston connected with David Njoku for a late touchdown, but an unsuccessful onside kick left the Bengals victorious.

In a dramatic finish, the Green Bay Packers edged the Houston Texans 24-22, thanks to Brandon McManus’s game-winning 45-yard field goal. The Texans’ CJ Stroud faced constant pressure from the Packers’ defense, limiting him to just 86 passing yards.

Anthony Richardson made a strong return for the Indianapolis Colts, passing for 129 yards and rushing for 56, guiding the team to a 16-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Tyler Goodson’s rushing touchdown and Matt Gay’s three field goals rounded out the scoring.

In a clash of bitter rivals, Saquon Barkley put on a show against the New York Giants, rushing for 176 yards and a touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a 28-3 victory. Jalen Hurts added two rushing touchdowns and a touchdown pass to AJ Brown, showcasing the Eagles’ dominance.

Finally, the Jacksonville Jaguars celebrated a thrilling 32-16 victory over the New England Patriots at Wembley, concluding the NFL’s 2024 London trilogy. After an early Patriots score, the Jaguars exploded in the second quarter, highlighted by Parker Washington’s record-breaking 97-yard punt return for the longest touchdown in NFL international games history.

With standout performances and shocking upsets, Week 7 was a rollercoaster of excitement in the NFL!
