Decordova-Reid, alongside defender Tosin Adarabioyo, had his contract extended until the summer of 2024 after flourishing in a high-flying Fulham team, who now sit sixth in the table.
Silva said: ‘Bobby is a really good example. Even to change something in the games, to prepare the games as well if you have a certain number of players on the pitch who can help me to take different decisions during the game.
The 29-year-old also played his part in the Cardiff team relegated in 2018/19, scoring five league goals and grabbing two assists. ‘He had a tough night, the day before the Chelsea game, he was a little bit unwell. He still managed to play 65 minutes,’ Silva added.
