A new video from upcoming Antlers shows a brutal monster attack in a timberland. Antlers will mark chief Scott Cooper’s initial foray into repulsiveness in what’s been a relatively short career for the actor-turned-chief. Cooper’s first film, Crazy Heart, was a critical achievement, earning various accolades at award season, including two Academy Awards for lead actor Jeff Bridges. Joining Scott for Antlers is regular repulsiveness intellectual Guillermo del Toro, who will assist with producing the movie, alongside continuous collaborator J Miles Davis and Christopher Nolan’s Batman set of three author David S. Goyer.
In the latest clasp, the Antlers monster can be found in action, as Lucas confronts a domineering jerk in the woods. As the domineering jerk continues to criticize Lucas, a rustling commotion distracts the pair, and Lucas goes to face the monster lurking in the trees. Unfortunately for Lucas’ domineering jerk, the monster continues to brutally attack him while Lucas runs off into the timberland. The full clasp from Searchlight Pictures can be seen below:
The clasp follows two past trailers that have only hinted at the creature’s monstrous force. While it seems as though there will be a lot of human devouring in the film, past Antlers trailers have depended on the spooky legends surrounding the film’s version of a Wendigo to hone in the scares. However, while this is, clearly, an all-out blood and gore film, there’s a human component to Antlers. The film will also investigate Lucas’ family inconveniences, a tale of chronic drug use in small-town America, and those it leaves behind.
Early surveys for the film have been for the most part sure, with his outing into repulsiveness seemingly a triumph, something Cooper has said wouldn’t have been imaginable if del Toro wasn’t involved in Antlers. With three Academy Award wins and a Golden Globe for dark fantasy The Shape of Water added to his repertoire, del Toro has demonstrated he’s a master of strange fiction and the ideal partner for a film like Antlers. Following several Covid-related delays, Antlers is presently because of release one week from now on October 29th, with perfect timing for Halloween.
