BTS member J-Hope has officially completed his military service, returning to fans on October 17 in South Korea. The rapper’s discharge was marked by a delightful reunion with his bandmate Jin, who orchestrated a lighthearted welcome that fans won’t soon forget.
Dressed in his military uniform, Jung Hoseok (affectionately known as Hobi) was greeted at the station by the eldest member of the Grammy-nominated K-Pop sensation. Jin arrived with an extravagant bouquet of flowers and, in a playful gesture, went down on one knee to hold the microphones for Hobi as he addressed the media. The touching moment captured their strong bond and brought smiles to fans worldwide.
Following his discharge, J-Hope shared a collage of media photos celebrating the day. BigHit Music, the group’s management agency, confirmed the discharge earlier this week, emphasizing that no special events were planned to avoid overcrowding. They kindly urged fans to show their support from afar, ensuring a smooth and peaceful day for all.
“Discharge day is a day shared by service members. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” the statement read. The agency expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from fans, promising to continue supporting their artists.
With J-Hope now back, he becomes the second BTS member to complete military service, following Jin, who finished his training in June. Welcome back, Hobi! The BTS ARMY is ready to celebrate your return.
