“Detroiters,” the beloved cult comedy created by Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, is set to hit Netflix on October 15. Both seasons of the Michigan-based sitcom will be available for streaming in the U.S., as confirmed by Variety. Previously, the series aired on Comedy Central and Paramount+.

Debuting in February 2017, “Detroiters” ran for two seasons before its cancellation in December 2018. The show follows best friends and neighbors Sam Duvet (Richardson) and Tim Cramblin (Robinson), who work at an advertising agency creating low-budget television commercials. The series was co-created by Richardson, Robinson, Zach Kanin, and Joe Kelly, and was filmed on location in Detroit, where both comedians began their careers with Second City.

After “Detroiters,” Robinson and Kanin went on to create the absurdist sketch comedy series “I Think You Should Leave” for Netflix. Richardson, who had previously appeared in “Veep” and “The Office,” later starred in “The Afterparty,” “The Tomorrow War,” and “Werewolves Within.” Both Richardson and Robinson, along with Kanin, have won Emmys since the show’s original run.

Executive producers of “Detroiters” include Lorne Michaels, Jason Sudeikis, Kanin, Joe Kelly, and Andrew Singer. The show features a supporting cast that includes Lailani Ledesma, Pat Vern Harris, Mort Crim, Andre Belue, and Shawntay Dalon.
