Netflix has unveiled the trailer for Territory, the Australian series set to premiere on October 24. Previously titled Desert King, the show stars Anna Torv, known for her roles in Mindhunter and The Newsreader, alongside Michael Dorman from For All Mankind and Patriot.

Created by Timothy Lee (Mystery Road, Bump) and Ben Davies (Bondi Rescue, The First Inventors), Territory revolves around a fierce dispute over land. The official synopsis states: “When the world’s largest cattle station is left without a clear successor, generational clashes threaten to tear the mighty Lawson family apart. Sensing this once-great dynasty is in decline, rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders, and billionaire miners move in for the kill.”

The supporting cast features notable actors including Robert Taylor (Longmire, The Newsreader), Sam Corlett (Vikings: Valhalla, The Dry), and Sara Wiseman (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, High Country), among others.

Directed by Greg McLean (La Brea, Wolf Creek), the series is a joint production between Easy Tiger and Ronde. Executive producers include Ben Davies, Rob Gibson, and Ian Collie, with production led by Paul Ranford.

Filmed across the Northern Territory and South Australia, Territory showcases stunning locations such as Tipperary Station and the UNESCO World Heritage site Kakadu National Park. Watch the trailer here for a sneak peek at this intense new series.
