Indie film distributor Gravitas Ventures has secured the rights to the sci-fi thriller “The Fix,” featuring Grace Van Dien, known for her role in “Stranger Things.” The film will be available on digital and cable transactional video on demand starting November 22 in the U.S., Canada, and select international territories.
Directed by Kelsey Egan, “The Fix” also stars Daniel Sharman, Keenan Arrison, Tina Redman, Robyn Rossouw, Tafara Nyatsanza, Nicole Fortuin, and Clancy Brown. The narrative unfolds in a future Earth ravaged by a viral infection, where immunity is a luxury only the wealthy can afford. The plot thickens when a wild child unwittingly becomes a test subject after trying a new designer drug at a house party.
Egan expressed excitement about the film, stating, “Our journey from script to screen began in 2013, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this wild ride with the world. Achieving ambitious action and visual effects in an indie film is a rare accomplishment, and we are proud of the striking scope made possible by our global talent.”
Danielle Gasher, VP of Acquisitions and International Sales at Gravitas, praised Van Dien’s performance, saying, “Grace Van Dien shines in this high-concept sci-fi. We can’t wait for audiences to experience this action-packed film in November.”
Produced by Crave Pictures, the film boasts a talented team, including Greig Buckle, Allison Friedman, Jeremy Walton, David Lyons, and Egan, with executive production from African streamer Showmax, Moo Studios, and Van Dien. Gravitas Ventures will distribute the film across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.
Gravitas Ventures is known for distributing films like “Padre Pio” starring Shia LaBeouf, “Queen Bees” on Netflix, and “Our Friend” featuring Dakota Johnson, Casey Affleck, and Jason Segel.
